In the latest – 9(75)/2022 – issue of The Royal Castle Chronicles. Annals authors highlight, among others, the structure of the court of Stephan Batory and the importance of the Stockholm Roll as an iconographic source in research on the armament of Polish troops. The contributors make important findings regarding the architectural transformations of Villa Regia (the Kazimierzowski’s palace), Silesian baroque glass, the legacy of the Dutch painter Abraham Bisschop and the oeuvre of Jean Pierre Norblin. Valuable studies also concern the dispute between Kazimierz Skórewicz and Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz, the Czersk castellan Stanisław Morsztyn, the controversy surrounding Prince Jakub Sobieski, the crown guard regiments in the years 1775–1794, and finally the way of perceiving the local events related to the adoption of the Constitution of May 3 and its subsequent abolition.
